So I finally played Touhou for the first time, and I have a lot of things to say.

Last week I decided to start with the Touhou franchise, I watched some videos for guide and after a long investigation I decided to play the official games first. I always see Touhou as a game for maniacs but after playing the first three games released for Windows (Touhou 6, 7 and 8) it wasn't THAT impossible; the games have a difficulty selector so you can play casual if you are beginner (like me).

They were a little hard to understand at first, but the gameplay was really fun and I can see myself playing later to get a better ranking. But what caught my attention the most definitely was the music, GOD LORD Zun it's a fantastic composer, I can see where Toby Fox got his inspiration from. After playing every game, I take moments to listen the OST and now I see why "U.N Owen was here" and "Necrofantasia" are so popular.

Also I loved the characters design, my favorite one so far is Yukari Yakumo, her outfit is very cute and her Spell Cards are so freaking cool. Her ability to summon her own Youkai in the 8th game was really useful when I was struggling with annoying enemies that spam bullet, and her boss theme on the 7th game is peak.

So... yeah, sorry if I don't say anything with value, I'm very tired now but I just wanted to share my experience here. I want to play some fangames now since Touhou is well known for its fanmade content and I already have my eye on some cool ones that catch my attetion because they are really different to the official vertical shooter games, so maybe I can play them to meet new faces through more traditional genres.
